The Fire Service visited us today, it was great! We all got a turn in the fire engine and squirting the hose – we even squirted Miss Franklin!
Well done to all the children who completed our sponsored bike and scooter ride today, they were all fantastic and every child in Nursery did their 5 laps!! Thank you very much to everyone who sponsored them!
Next week is sports week for Reception! We have got our sponsored bike ride, Wood Green athletics and Sports Day (Friday 26th at 9:30).
Please could you ask your child what their favourite sport is and why, please post their answers in the comments.
It would be also lovely if they could bring in a drawing they have done of their favourite sport.
Have a lovely weekend.
Don’t forget to bring your bikes/scooters on Monday 22nd for the sponsored bike ride event. Children must bring their helmets with them to wear.
Home Learning this week…
We would like to celebrate all the talented children in our Reception classes! We will be having a Talent Show on Wednesday or Thursday next week. Please let us know on this Blog page if you have a talent that you would like to perform in front of your friends in the Reception classes. We are very excited!
Just thinking what my talent might be…!
Thank you yellow group for helping to plant some more plants in our outside pots. Remember to keep them watered , especially in this warmer weather ! Good Job !
We all had an amazing time on our Blenheim Palace trip yesterday!
Whilst we were looking around the palace we saw lots of shapes in the windows and the building. We saw 2D shapes; squares, rectangles, triangles and circles. We also saw lots of 3D shapes; cubes, cuboids, pyramids and spheres.
Go on a shape hunt with someone from your family! What shapes can you find? Are they 2D and 3D shapes? Let us know by typing your answers in the comments below.
Challenge – you do not need to record anything but if you would like to you can draw the shapes you find on a sheet of paper and bring it in to show us next week! Or; could you draw a palace or a castle using different shapes?
Don’t forget that you all have access to your own Bug Club account. Your teachers have chosen books for you to read with some fun quiz’s to play.
Parents: If you would like your child’s log in details again, then please ask and we can send them home with your child.
We had a SUPER day on Friday, a fantastic way to end the term!
Don’t forget that there are lots of books on Bug Club for you to read over the holidays!
